Honored as a Toll Fellow

Rep. Moeller attended the Council of State Governments (CSG) Annual Conference in early December, where she was recognized as a Henry Toll Fellow. The Toll Fellowship is one of the nation’s premier leadership development programs for legislators.

Each year, the Toll Fellowship brings 48 of the nation’s top officials from all three branches of state government to Lexington, Kentucky, for an intensive five-day “leadership boot camp.” The program’s sessions are designed to stimulate personal assessment and growth while providing networking and relationship-building opportunities.

Mental Health America Legislative Champion

On December 4th, Rep. Moeller was honored with Mental Health America’s (MHA) 2024 Legislative Champion Award for her work on the Healthcare Protection Act. This act bans prior authorization for crisis mental health care and so-called “step therapy,” which insurance companies used to delay access to doctor-prescribed treatment.

Annual Toy Drive

On December 9th, our office wrapped up its annual holiday toy drive in partnership with Aunt Martha’s Carpentersville Community Health Center. These gifts go to local foster youth for the Christmas holiday. We had another fantastic turnout this year and want to thank the community for their generosity.

Transit Delegation to Germany

Rep. Moeller serves on the House Public Transit Working Group, tasked with developing recommendations and legislation to improve the region’s public transit system. From December 8th-13th, Rep Moeller joined an Illinois delegation on a trip to Germany to learn about transit systems in Munich and Berlin.

The trip highlighted how greater investment in Illinois’ transit system must be paired with bold reforms to address our communities’ persistent transit issues. The goal should be nothing less than a world-class transit system—one that’s safe, affordable, and convenient for everyone across the region. The delegation saw how their transit systems deliver seamless, customer-focused service while maintaining high standards.

Holiday Fun with Dundee Township Seniors

On December 18th, Rep, Moeller joined Representative Suzanne Ness in calling the holiday bingo at the Dundee Township Adult Activities Center. It was great connecting with all the older adults who were in attendance on Wednesday morning.

Visiting the Sheridan

On December 19th, Rep. Moeller visited The Sheridan at Tyler Creek for their annual holiday party. She met with residents, sang carols with Santa, and brought cookies for everyone to enjoy. There was lots of holiday warmth and cheer to go around.
