What we do

Our office assists residents in resolving difficult and often confusing issues related to state programs and services. We act as liaisons on your behalf in addressing state related questions and concerns for many of the following programs:

  • Medicaid (including questions on qualification, applications, status, and denial) and the Senior Health Insurance Program (SHIP)
  • Benefit Access Program
  • Community Care Program
  • State Ombudsman
  • All Kids and FamilyCare
  • Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits and cash assistance
  • Unemployment through the Illinois Department of Employment Services (IDES)
  • The Firearm Owner’s Identification Card (FOID) and Concealed Carry License (CCL)
  • Illinois Tolls
  • Illinois Joining Forces and other Veteran’s programs
  • Housing and Rental assistance through the Illinois Housing Development Authority (IHDA)

What are your hours of operation?

Our district office in Elgin, Illinois is open Monday-Friday from 9 am to 5 pm.

No. Our office closes for Federal Holidays.
